Vico Marine support poles are engineered from lightweight, heat-treated, anodized aluminum designed to perform in any climate. Our telescoping flip-lock poles pair perfectly with all Vico Marine boat vents and bases, delivering reliable boat-cover support and superior ventilation.

Our poles are outfitted with heavy-duty polycarbonate flip-lock collars—equipped with stainless steel hardware and tested to hold an impressive 170 lbs, more than double the capacity of standard thumbscrew-style mooring poles. Poles are offered in a wide range of lengths and tip styles, including snap, swedge, plug, and spline.

Vico Marine support poles are available with multiple factory-installed tip options—Plug, Snap, Swedge, or Spline—to match virtually any cover design, grommet style, or vent configuration. Each tip is engineered for professional canvas applications, manufactured from durable materials, and pressure-fitted and crimped for permanent installation to ensure long-term strength, stability, and performance in demanding marine environments.

Plug Tip (ABS Plastic)

Designed to protect and reinforce the top of the support pole, the ABS plug tip strengthens the pole end while providing a threaded center to accept a snap tip when needed. Built to perform reliably in both hot and cold conditions, it offers flexibility for changing cover requirements.

Snap Tip (ABS Plastic with Stainless Steel Snap)

An ABS plug tip with an integrated rigid stainless steel snap for use with snap-style boat covers. The corrosion-resistant snap resists bending under normal wear and tear, providing a secure and dependable attachment point for canvas installations.

Swedge Tip (Nylon)

A standard nylon swedge tip designed for boat covers that use grommets for tenting. The smooth, durable profile delivers reliable contact and stability under load while maintaining consistent performance across temperature extremes.

Spline Tip (ABS Plastic)

Engineered specifically for proper fitment with Boat Vent 2, Boat Vent 3, Boat Vent 4, and Flex Support, the ABS spline tip enhances grip and stability at the contact point, ensuring secure engagement in professional support pole applications.

Floor Protection Built-In

Vico Marine support poles are supplied with floor protection as standard equipment. Each pole is finished with a non-marring synthetic TPE crutch tip designed to protect boat decks, fiberglass, and vinyl flooring from scuffs and point-load damage during installation and under cover load. This integrated protection ensures dependable performance while helping preserve interior finishes on every installation.

Swivel Pole Base (Optional Upgrade)

The patented Swivel Pole Base is designed to improve stability, simplify setup, and enhance floor protection in professional cover systems. Its self-aligning, swiveling design holds the support pole securely in place—reducing repositioning and eliminating repeated entry and exit from the boat during installation. An oversized base with a durable thermoplastic rubber pad provides exceptional grip while dispersing load to protect flooring and upholstery. A four-piece assembly with a locking wingnut keeps all components together season after season.
